Elizabeth gave at talk to the North Alabama Rare Plant Society in Anniston recently, and we were fortunate to be hosted by a local couple at their guesthouse which was wonderful. It also had a large, lodge-like room with many hunt trophies and a large-screen TV. The night before her presentation she and I shared a drink and watched an old movie "The Four Daughters" while the deer overhead kept watch over us.

| A note about faxing: we have an old fax machine and fax number but we leave the machine unplugged because of years of spamming faxes. Almost without fail we can scan most any document we need to send and attach it to an email. This makes our fax obsolete. If you need to fax us, please contact us by one of the methods above and let us know. We'll plug the fax in and find your message amid the free trip offers to Disney World, guaranteed new roof, Nigerian wealth that is already ours, or the cheapest way to stiffen the old timber.

At Elizabeth's Daddy's interment at Oakland Cemetery this March. Preparing to march the procession to the gravesite. The jocular name they gave the group -- "Weapons of Brass Destruction" -- suits the family and its love of music and fun. It's three of his sons, a cousin of theirs and a friend. Bob W. Dean would have smiled, laughed and marched with us all.
