Although it may not feel like it, fall is just around the corner when we will reopen for retail sales on September 17th (there's a list of all our fall 2010 Open Days below).

Until then we are open only by prior appointment. Please call or email to arrange a time for a visit. Of course, you can place a mail order at any time with fall deliveries beginning on September 1st.

I'm no expert but I believe this is the Black Swallowtail (Papilio polyxenes) on our Abelia chinensis (Chinese Abelia) this August. They certainly don't get along with the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail (Papilio glaucus) which are all over the same plant. Great plant, great fragrance and a magnet for butterflies.
