Maiko Hydrangea - trade gallon
Maiko Hydrangea - trade gallon Hydrangea serrrata ’Maiko’ is another small, appearing as a delicate selection from Japan. Unlike most serratas, however, ’Maiko’ is mostly a mophead not a lacecap, of pastel bent, pink tones and limey green, quite delightful. All parts are thinner and smaller than big rambunctious macrophyllas. Stems are thin and curved. Excellent plant for a small mostly shady corner of your garden. Deciduous and quite short, to 3’ or so, for zones 5-8.

Akishino-Temari Hydrangea - trade gallon
A favorite of ours, this small Japanese form is nearly a mophead even though it is a "mountain" hydrangea (Hydrangea serrata ’Akishino-Temari’) from the higher elevations in Japan where native forms are usually lacecap. The blooms are pastel pink or blue on a smallish plant that is ideal for shady nooks. We have observed a second flush of blooms in the fall, which is an added bonus. Splendid plant offered by only a handful of nurseries in this country. 3’ x 3’ for zones 5-8.
